You know those "no bugs, no humidity, no clouds" perfect summer days? Well, this morning it looks like the winter equivalent.
From the moment the sun hit the walls in my studio, I knew it was going to be a perfect day, even without looking outside.
Bright sunshine making blue shadows on the snow, not a cloud in the sky, and the snow sparkling like so many diamond chips. Awesome. Reminds us why we did this.
And the first snowmobilers crossed the lake yesterday, leaving their tracks, which is a good sign that it is safe for skiing and snow shoeing.
Soon we will see convoys of them crossing to get to Crane Lake, but for now just a couple of tell-tale lines on the lake.
