More up and down weather as we travelled to Toronto, Peterborough and back again within the past few days. We went through rain, snow, slush and hurried back yesterday in anticipation of a flash freeze.
Instead, we found this.
First bare deck in a very long time.
And the stairs looked like this - mostly no snow, but the sand took care of any slippage.
The next few days will be a weather roller coaster ride, with highs near +8 and then lows in the minus two digits. Not sure this is the best thing for snowmobiling or skiing on the lake.
And on the drive back yesterday, via Gravenhurst, we were able to see that we are not the only ones with slush in all the tracks on the lake. It appears to be everywhere. And these balmy temps will only make that worse.
